The BEST soft caramel recipe that I been using for years and will not disappoint your friends...or your belly!
INGREDIENTS:
1 c. Butter
2 1/4 c. Packed brown sugar
1 (14 oz) Can sweetened condensed milk
1 c. Light corn syrup
1 t. Vanilla
Need:
Candy Thermometer
9 x 13 pan lined with parchment paper
wax paper
1. Line 9x13 inch pan with parchment paper
2. Melt the butter in a large heavy-bottomed saucepan
3. Add sugar
4. Blend in corn syrup, vanilla and milk, stirring constantly.
5. Cook to 245 degrees.

3. Add sugar
4. Blend in corn syrup, vanilla and milk, stirring constantly.
5. Cook to 245 degrees.
6. Remove from heat pour into pan.
7. Let cool completely.
Cut into squares or rectangles
Wrap in wax paper
Make sure you drop a couple on the floor so you can eat those yourself! ;)
