Service Auction

Tonight we had an AMAZING youth activity put on by the Laurels and Priests (age 16-18) for the joint activity.  It was just too AWESOME not to share with all of you!

Have everyone fill out the sheet above and add up the value earned off the Service Survey.  Here is a copy of the front.

Here is the back.  Once all the total $'s earned are added, you put everyone's name on a chalkboard with the value amount they earned based on the survey.  You could also hand out fake cash but this is the fun non-crazy exchange way they did it tonight.

A week before the auction, they collected a list of items or services we were willing to donate for the service auction.  You can tell by the list that some are funny, some use a person's talent and others will ease a burden on a family!

They then had everyone bid on the particular service they wanted.  Bidding wars got wild and some items went for over $500!  Some even combined their cash to help others win.

All extra cash not used was traded in at the end for Twizzlers at $10 a piece.

Note: This activity could be used on a ward, RS, scout or even school class level.

"...when ye are in the service of your fellow beings, ye are only in the service of your God."  Mosiah 2:17
